摘要
We report Raman scattering experiments on the coupled spin dimer system Tl1-xKxCuCl3 (x = 0,0.1 and 1). Qualitatively different magnetic excitations are observed as a function of substitution. TlCuCl3 shows a broadened two-magnon continuum while KCuCl3 exhibits a pronounced three-magnon continuum as well. In contrast, for x = 0.1 a quasielastic scattering shows up. With increasing x phonon anomalies including multi-phonon scattering become pronounced. These features suggest an intriguing interplay between delocalized triplets and lattice degrees of freedom.
