A new sesquiterpene tetronic acid derivative, named smenotronic acid 2 was isolated from the Red Sea marine sponge Smenospongia sp. Its structure was assigned by detailed spectroscopic analysis. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
