The article analyzes the image and the similarity as essential conditions in the literary experience of Maurice Blanchot, discussing, based on various texts of the writer, the relationship between language and image. The article works in particular with the notion of "absolute milieu", invoked by Blanchot to describe the becoming-image of language in literature.
