摘要
Objective: In this study, we examined the association between adolescents' dietary behaviors and physical activity. Methods: The Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance (YRBS) survey was administered to 4872 Nevadan adolescents. Weighted multilevel generalized linear mixed-effects models were employed. Self-report physical activity was the outcome variable stratified participating in >= 5 days of 60-minute daily. Models were adjusted for the covariates of age, sex, BMI, socioeconomic status, and ethnicity. Results: Adolescents had significantly higher odds of meeting physical activity guideline when consuming fruit juice, fruit, vegetables, >= 3 glasses of milk, and eating breakfast every day. Boys who ate breakfast every day had significantly higher odds of achieving physical activity guideline. Conclusions: Selected dietary behaviors significantly and independently related to Nevadan adolescents' physical activity.
