摘要
The goal of the present study was to study the performance schema in a male farmer population with very limited contacts with Western media and living in the North of Burkina Faso. The methodology was an application of the theory of functional cognition. The first experiment was aimed at testing a device through which participants could express their quantitative judgements. The second experiment was aimed at uncovering the integration rule used. The data supported the independence schema already found in Indian and Chinese samples. Experiment 3 extended the performance schema by incorporating a new factor currently present in Burkinabe culture: supernatural power.
