摘要
In the paper, structural transformations in SiO2 and alpha -Al2O3 powders exposed to microwave (MW) radiation with a power of 750 W for 10 min in air have been studied. X-ray diffraction studies have shown that SiO2 particles undergo polymorphic transformations with a general decrease in the symmetry of the newly formed crystalline phases. The impact of the MW field on alpha -Al2O3 particles causes a decrease in the size of the coherent scattering regions of X-ray radiation in the direction normal to the planes with indices (2k4).
