Low temperature magnetization of PrOs4Sb12 under pressure

摘要
We present dc magnetization data for the heavy fermion superconductor PrOs4Sb12 under pressures up to 1: 45 GPa. With increasing pressure, the superconducting region becomes smaller, while the antiferroquadrupolar region moves significantly to lower fields. Our results strongly suggest that the crystal field energy splitting of a Gamma(1) singlet ground state and a Gamma((2))(4) triplet first excited state decreases with an increase in pressure.
