摘要
Currently, the choice of chest wall prosthesis remains a challenging problem for thoracic and reconstructive surgeons. This paper introduced some common synthetic biodegradable materials and the drawbacks of these materials if they were used for the reconstruction of chest wall. Pointing out a biodegradable polymer possessing excellent strength and elasticity-polydioxanone, was the appropriate material for the design and preparation of biodegradable chest wall prosthesis. Three important parameters of mechanical properties(the tensile strength, the bursting strength and the stiffness) were confirmed about the chest wall prosthesis. This work discussed the advantages and the disadvantages of the plain weave as structure of the prosthetic substitutes of the chest wall, especially suture retention strength was paid, more attention. In the end, by comparative analyzing the performance between tricot stitch based on rib and tricot stitch based on interlock, which were two fabric structures in warp knitting, this study could conclude that the latter can meet the requirements of chest wall prosthesis very well.
