摘要：
Here a new signaling protocol being developed for use in the Internet or an enterprise IP network is analyzed. The protocol is Telephony Routing over IEP (TRIP). The most basic function of TRIP is to locate the optimum gateway on a Voice over IP (VoIP) network connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). TRIP is analyzed from a carrier perspective and performance results discussed.
