摘要
A computationally efficient, finite element(FE) model of iced multi-span transmission lines is presented to analyse galloping. A transmission line's interactions with a support tower are modelled through connecting insulator and the conductor at the suspension point where all the translational and the torsional degrees are coupled. One expedient simulation scheme is develop to involving the changing of lift, drag force and torsional moment. The current configuration of the conductor is obtained through the consideration of the deadweight. The model has been employed to successfully simulate galloping phenomena.
