摘要
This paper presents the development of a real time digital simulator at the Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPRI). The developed Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO) Enhanced Power System Simulator (KEPS) is demonstrated through the performance test of the power system stabilizer (PSS). This test is to assure a high degree of confidence on the PSS before installing in the KEPCO system. The test has been performed in the form of a closed-loop test in which the simulator and PSS are connected and signals are transferred interactively. A number of tests have been performed successfully by using the KEPS, which consists of 26 real time digital simulator (RTDS) racks for simulating large-scale power systems. A reduced KEPCO power system model, which contains 88 generators and 195 buses, has been used for simulation in this test. The simulator has been demonstrated successfully in the performance test of the PSS through the AVR step change, three phase fault and active power variation tests.
