摘要
The wind energy source is one of the important renewable energy resources adopted around the world. It's becoming a widespread technology, and it has an interesting potential to produce large amounts of power, and it's considered as a clean energy. Nevertheless, this resource presents several issues, mainly due to its intermittency and the difficulty of reaching an instantaneous maximum power due to the inertia of the mechanical system, the rapid change in wind velocity and also when the wind speed is low in a given area. This paper expose an example of the behavior of a wind energy conversion system (WECS) using MPPT and pitch angle control strategies for different sites in Morocco. The sites involved in this study are Taza,Dakhla,Tangier, Essaouira, and Safi. The conventional control used in the MPPT is the optimal torque control applied with fixed and variable pitch angle. A comparison was performed for the selected sites, by using MATLAB/Simulink R2020a software, to demonstrate the performance of the combined control MPPT and pitch angle control.
