摘要
Long-Life Learning and Training will play a major role in the new Knowledge-Based Society. Personalized, ubiquitous access to computing resources must be available, especially in work environments, allowing, among others, permanent training tailored to company's needs. In the Knowledge-Based Society, each company will build knowledge-management systems with a knowledge repository that includes its significant experience, history, skills, profile, strategy, technology, etc. This knowledge, in connection with knowledge about the employees, and universal knowledge in Internet allows the construction of intelligent training and consultancy services tailored to each subject and context of use. The paper refers to a framework for personalized training offered to employees as a component of their work. The framework integrates knowledge-based technologies on the Semantic Web, with Web services technology for distributed processing, and with tools for distance and distributed training. This makes the learning, training, documentation, and consultancy activities not only more adapted to user profiles and enterprise needs, but also more cost-effective.
