Final state interaction in kaon photoproduction from the deuteron

We calculate inclusive d(gamma, K+), exclusive d(gamma, K+Y) cross sections and hyperon polarization for the reaction gamma + d --> K+ + Lambda(Sigma) + N. Modern hyperon-nucleon (YN) forces and a recently updated production operator for the gamma + N --> K+ + Lambda(Sigma) process are used. Sizable effects of YN final state interaction (FSI) have been found around the K(+)LambdaN and K(+)SigmaN threshold. Around the K(+)SigmaN threshold FSI effects are especially interesting and the two YN forces show quite different effects.
