摘要：
Product Data Management (PDM) technology is to manage all product- related information and processes throughout the product lifecycle. CAx systems can exchange the information through the PDM system. The main functions of PDM and the product development processes based on PDM are studied in this paper. And the relation between PDM and product development is analyzed. Then it elaborates the product modeling technology and illustrates by an example. The principle of product development based on PDM technology can be applied to the different products.
