Usability analysis of Ku wideband land mobile satellite communication system

摘要
Usability is one of the important problems in Ku wideband land mobile satellite communication design. The difference between the mobile satellite communication and the fixed satellite communication is that the earth station is in motion when it works in mobile satellite communication. In addition, there are multi-path fading, Doppler shift, shadowing effect and rain attenuation in land mobile satellite communication. In this paper, the usability of the communication system is emphasized and appropriate measure based on four major characters in the Ku band land mobile satellite communication system is taken, and the system usability is then calculated, finally the calculation result is analyzed.
