THE ASSESSMENT OF BILINGUAL TRAINING IN TEACHING/LEARNING PROCESS INTO THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCES OF EDUCATION AT HIGHER TEACHERS' TRAINING COLLEGE OF MAROUA CAMEROON

摘要
The bilingual training helps students to acquire knowledge in the two official languages in the Higher Teachers' Training College of Maroua for the future job of trainees. In this institution students are supposed to learn English for those who have French as their first language of education and French for those who have English as their first language of education (Bassirou, 2013). In this study of the process of teaching/learning aims to find out the purpose of formative evaluation and summative evaluation during the lesson. The accessible population in our work consisted of 9 teachers for the two cycles of the Higher Teachers' Training College of Maroua. The research instrument used was a teachers' questionnaire designed for the purpose of this research. Teachers do use formative evaluation and summative evaluation when assessing students. They also use evaluation to help students to succeed in learning during the teaching activities. They assess for verifying if the objectives are reached. Evaluation is the center of teaching and learning, it "provides opportunity for students to demonstrate and review their progress." More over assessment helps teacher and learner with real information on students' achievement.
