摘要：
Initially, databases were made available for users through specially arranged communication lines so that they can be accessed and searched for information. With the advent of Internet, databases are already available for engineers, technologists and researchers on the Net. Making best use of the databases available on the Internet can be most beneficial to engineers and technologists. The first step is to be aware of the existence of many relevant databases on the Internet.
