摘要：

In this paper we present an overview of the translations carried out between peninsular languages in the 16th century We focus on Catalan and Portuguese as the source languages and Castilian Spanish as the target language, as well as any combinations between these. In order to provide a context for our study one section is devoted to "intro -peninsular translations" in the Middle Ages, which we complete by addressing what occurred during the transition between the 15 and 16th centuries. Finally, we study translations between peninsular languages in the 16th century, when Castilian Spanish occupied the central position in the peninsular polysystem.
