With small boxes or blocks as embedded fillers, cellular voided plate looks like honeycomb. Based on elastic thin plate theory of infinitesimal deformation, considering of the peculiarity in mechanical behavior and geometrical structures of cellular voided plates, differential equilibrium equation of the plate subjected to uniformly distributed loads and simply supported by four edges was derived, and calculation formulae of the flexural and torsional stiffness were presented. By using of double trigonometric series as the expression of deflection, analytical solutions of deflection and bending moment for cellular voided plates simply supported by four edges were given. Elastic finite element analysis and comparisons on a number of ensamples using ANSYS were carried out. The results show that the method presented in this paper can exactly calculate the deflection and bending moment of cellular voided plates simply supported by four edges subjected to uniformly distributed loads.
