摘要
We report the early results of the Suzaku spectroscopic survey of recombining plasmas (RPs) in the supernova remnants (SNRs) W44 and W28. The X-ray spectra of both the SNRs exhibit the strong recombination edges of Si and S, which are typical characteristics of a RP. In both the SNRs, the ionization temperatures are found to be similar to 1.5-2 times higher than the electron temperatures. All of the five SNRs where the RPs had so far been detected are interacting with the molecular clouds (MCs) and are associated with the GeV/TeV gamma-ray sources. To investigate possible correlation of the RP with the MCs and the gamma-ray sources, we performed spatially resolved spectroscopy on W28.
