摘要
In this study, we examined a one-out-of-two-unit system that uses backup power in case of an emergency. Three identical units make up our system; two of them are initially in use, while the third one is held in reserve for backup purposes. After both units fail, the backup unit starts to function. It takes some time for the server in charge of the repairs to get to the system. The mechanism that switches the units operates flawlessly. The unit operates with the same parameters as the original unit following repair. Each unit's failure rate is exact and constant; however, repair and server arrival times may vary arbitrarily. All the constants of reliability are calculated by using Semi-Markov Process (SMP) and regeneration point technique (RPT). These metrics are plotted on graphs. These measures are made concerning failure rate, and significant observations are discussed.
