Free Movement of Labour Force in the European Union

The migration phenomenon is the main cause of the constant decrease not only of our country's population, but also (most importantly) of the labour force. The population's perception concerning the short- and medium-term evolutions of the main economic and social indicators determined an exponential increase of departures from Romania. The main purpose is an improvement of the quality life level. In the context of reuniting families or insuring stability of family relations, the last decade witnessed an alarming increase of the migration phenomenon and of the brain drain.
