摘要
Layered perovskite structured Re5Ti4CrO17 (Re = La, Nd) ceramics were synthesized via a sol-gel method. Rietveld analysis and Raman spectroscopy showed that the samples crystallize into an orthorhombic crystal structure with the space group Pmnn. The samples showed a dense and homogeneous microstructure when sintered at 1600 degrees C for 4 h and the grain size was found to be 2.64-4.93 mu m. La5Ti4CrO17 and Nd5Ti4CrO17 exhibited dielectric constant (epsilon(r)) similar to 23 and 12 at 1 MHz, respectively, which was dependent on the dielectric polarizability and bond lengths. Dielectric loss at room temperature was found to be <= 0.05 (at 1 MHz) for La5Ti4CrO17 and Nd5Ti4CrO17, respectively. Furthermore, magnetic study of the samples showed a paramagnetic behavior.
