Wireless communications in a network on a chip (NoC) have recently been proposed as a technology shift of existing wired interconnects to overcome their drawbacks such as latency and limited bandwidth. Performance analysis of a designed on chip antennas requires investigation of frequency channel link interference, which affects the NoC systems quality of service (QoS). In this context, this work proposes the design as well as the characterization of an antenna ensuring on chip wireless communication operating at millimeter waves (from 50 to 160 GHz). The antenna is multi-wide-bandwidth enabling high data rate links. Compared to state of the art, the proposed fractal antenna has a considerable bandwidth, gain and size which facilitate on-chip integration.
