摘要
Knowledge Discovery (KD) has been adapted successfully by many industries into their business processes. However, there are not too many successful cases in the healthcare sector. One particular impediment is the difficulty of organizing massive healthcare data/information in an implemental e-health system. This paper introduces three basic implementation problems related to this, namely the knowledge management (KM), the system framework, and the knowledge discovery. A two-layer knowledge management model, three-tier system architecture, and a neural network based algorithm have been proposed to solve each issue. An e-health application developed at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute has been presented as an illustration for the proposed KD models.
