RUSSIAN LANDS AT THE WORLD MAPS OF THE 13TH CENTURY

As is pointed out in the paper, the world maps of the 13th century reflected the striving of the medieval science and culture for comprehensive knowledge and its systematization. In particular, it was examined how and in what context the Russian lands and geographical objects related to them were depicted in the Ebstorf, Hereford world maps as well as in the map of the London Psalter, and what kind of ethno-cosmographical information about the Eastern Europe they could contain.
