Supply chain management and economic performance: some evidences from African's companies

摘要
Globalization poses new challenges for African industry, which needs to master the ability to compete with the world's leading suppliers, Supply chain management can be a powerful tool to achieve this challenge. In general, supply chain efficiency in Africa is weak. Where individual firms have managed to develop into learning firms and to approach global standards, they find themselves with weak suppliers, and often also with weak customers. This paper looks at how supply chains can improve the economic performance in a developing country context, especially in Africa. He is divided into five: Section 1: Presents the introduction Section 2: Describes the globalization and the business trends which are increasing the importance of supply chain management to corporate competitiveness. Section 3: Discusses the growing importance of supply chain initiatives for industrial and economic performance Section 4: Focuses on African countries implications for supply chain management initiatives development Section 5: Discusses the progress that has been made in using supply chains to improve industrial and economic performance and the prospects for the future.
