摘要
The production process of uranium metal by molten salt electrolysis using zinc cathode was investigated. This process is aimed at the production of high purity uranium metal for the U-235 isotopic enrichment process by Atomic Vapor Laser Isotope Separation (AVLIS). The effectiveness of the concept of the argon gas purge system was established. Both long time electrolysis(24hr) and transfers of metal were able to be performed stably by utilizing this concept. These results suggest that there is a bright outlook for a practical usage of this process.
