摘要
We study the influence of modification of the surface layer of a metal in gaseous atmospheres on the long-term strength of Zr-1% Nb alloy at room temperature (20 degrees C). It is discovered that the procedures of treatment in oxygen-containing (580 degrees C; 1.33 Pa; 0.5 h under a pressure of 1.33 center dot 10(-2) Pa , and tau = 2.5 h) and nitrogen-containing (580 degrees C; 1.33 center dot 10(- 3)Pa; 1 h under a nitrogen pressure of 1 center dot 10(5) Pa , and tau = 9 h) atmospheres are accompanied by the formation of diffusion-hardened near-surface layers and lead to an increase in the long-term strength of annular specimens at room temperature on a base of 100 h as compared with the standard treatment in a vacuum (580 degrees C; 1.33 center dot 10(-2) Pa , and 3 h).
