Octanuclear zinc(II) carboxylate framework based on 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid

摘要
A novel Zn(II)-cluster-based coordination polymer-namely, {[Zn-8(mu(4)-O)(2)(1,4-ndc)(6)(DMF)(3)]center dot DMR}(n) (1) was synthesized using Zn(NO3)(2) with 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (1,4-H(2)ndc) under solvothermal conditions using CH3OH/H2O/DMF (6:1:1) as solvents and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, and luminescent measurements. The complex 1 features a 3D structure based on the octanuclear metal cluster of [Zn-8(mu(4)-O)(2)(OOCR)(12)(DMF)(3)] as secondary building unit, which possesses a (4(12)center dot 6(3)) network topology considering the octanuclear cluster as 6-connected nodes. Thermal property and photoluminescence investigations revealed that the complex 1 displays a high thermal stability, and a strong emission spectrum peak at 403 nm at room temperature, and the complex 1 may be a technically viable option for the luminescence materials.
