摘要：
Semiconductor devices play a key role in the development of electronics. The related technology has played a significant role in the industrial development of several countries in the later half of the last century. The current scenario of research in the field of semiconductor devices in India is reviewed. Even though important contributions have been made by our laboratories, the developments are too few to make a global impact.
