摘要
Based on the Kyoto Protocol and the agreements in the European Union, the emission Of CO2 in the Netherlands has to be reduced by 6% in the year 2008 (base year 1990). The Government has decided on a set of options to reduce GHG emissions: concentrating use of fossil fuels on low carbon containing ones, substitution of fossil fuels by biomass and renewables, reduction of fuel use and enhancing high-efficiency processes, capture and storage Of CO2. This paper will give an overview of studies, research and actions under way in The Netherlands regarding CO2 storage. Results from earlier studies on CO2 storage can be found in [1].
