Propagation of the phase distribution through double telecentric optical systems

Coherent optical processing by systems which are double telecentric is examined. The fields in any pair of conjugate planes of such systems are shown to have corresponding phase distributions. This statement is obtained in the paraxial approximation via geometrical and Fourier optics. It establishes a natural extension of the so-called 4f-arrangement.
