An empirical study on integrated logistics of small and medium-sized enterprises in Wuhan city

Integrated logistics tries to integrate all related logistics activities organically so as to provide the satisfied service at the cost of lowest expense. This new logistics management mode is beneficial to logistics development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). According to data statistics and analysis, the extent of integrated logistics of SMEs in Wuhan city is analyzed from such facets as organizational structure, informationization, logistics strategy, supply chain management. Problems of it are detailed analyzed, such as influence of circulating information in organization, inappropriate organizational structure in the business process, inadequately used information technology and logistics technology, laggard logistics ideas which result in unreasonable strategies and low degree of standardization and participation in supply chain. Then four suggestions and strategies are put forward to develop integrated logistics of small and medium-sized enterprises in Wuhan city against these problems.
