摘要
In this paper influence of machining parameters on cutting tool temperature (T-c) and tool flank wear (F-w) has been investigated while turning silicon carbide particulate reinforced Al 7075 matrix composite in air-water spray environment. Turning was conducted following Taguchi L-16 orthogonal array, and the responses were optimized individually. 40 m/min of cutting speed (V), 0.05 mm/rev of feed (f) and 0.2 mm of depth of cut (d) was the optimal combination of process parameters for both T-c and F-w. Quadratic response surface models were developed and significance of process parameters on the responses was verified through Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
