摘要
An important component of third generation communication is the base station antenna. A broad bandwidth is required to support 3-G services. Increasing the gain and lowering the sidelobe levels of the base station antenna, will result in efficient power usage and more efficient frequency reuse. This paper discusses a design of a base station antenna using the ACP technique. An example is given for a single element ACP to be incorporated into a four element linear array. Dual polarisation is also investigated, to increase the system capacity. The paper briefly reviews mobile access methods and 3G services.
