About relation between LQ and H2 optimal control with output feedback

摘要
It is noted that the trial of reformulation of the deterministic LQ problem with output feedback as an H-2 problem, by using the method described in [7], is unsuccessful. This view is justified and supported by an example. Next, another formulation of this problem is proposed and illustrated. The problem of zero initial condition of the dynamic LQ regulator resulting from the assumption made in H-2 approach is also discussed. Especially, the impracticality associated with this assumption is noticed and justified.
