摘要
In a recent issue of The Journal of Pathology, a study by de Andrea, Ochoa, Villalba-Esparza et al demonstrated the presence of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) in a variety of human solid tumor types detected by multiplex immunofluorescence. In addition to NET identification and quantification, they found that there is individual heterogeneity in NET abundance in tumors and in circulation, and that NETs are positively associated with IL-8 and negatively associated with tumor-infiltrating CD8+ T cells.
