Ocean wave observation by CW mm-wave radar with narrow beam

摘要
New ocean wave spectra observation method applied intermittent back specula reflecting signal obtaining from narrow radio beam spot on water wave surface is proposed The method uses a ship-borne BBM CW mm wave Doppler radar with narrow beam. Wave spectra and its velocity component are directly obtained from received Doppler signal Moreover wave traveling direction and wave vector velocity are also obtained from multi-observation of azimuth directions. These are successfully evaluated on ocean wave data obtained by the radar.
