摘要
Many side-by-side type push-and-pull ventilation systems have applied the system of using a jet of air which is blown (or "pushed") from one side of the tank towards an exhaust (the "pull' component) at the opposite edge, as recommended by ACGIH in its ventilation manual [1,2], etc. Our concept of the push-and-pull system is to utilize a wide opening for the push component in order to blow air slowly and uniformly [3,4]. The required performance of the pushed-air turbulence intensity has not been studied and discussed. This paper shows experiments to find the different vaporization of the organic solvent by a different turbulence intensity under the same duct air velocity. Secondly, it attempts to find out which factor (air distribution or turbulence intensity) affects the effective pushed-air core length.
