摘要
A novel Tightly Coupled Dipole Array (TCDA), operational in Ku-band and with integrated balun is presented. In this paper, the traditional dielectric superstrate is replaced by frequency selective surface (FSS) for wideband and wide-angle impedance matching. The proposed TCDA has low-profile architecture. A prototype is simulated and the results show that the scanning angle ranges up to 85 degrees in E-plane (with VSWR<3) while 80 degrees in H-plane (with VSWR<3.2).
