摘要
A new method is presented which utilizeS ambiguous scatterometer wind observations within the operational assimilation system for the weather forecast model at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. The new method avoid the problem that the model first guess wind field, which is to be corrected in the analysis, has already been used as background information in the ambiguity removal. The principles of the method is explained, and examples of the performance are given.
