Connection between Barkhausen effect and hysteresis in nonlinear crystals

摘要
The work deals with the connection between the Barkhausen effect and hysteresis phenomena in ferromagnetic, ferroelectric, and ferroelastomer materials. It examines the connection of the Barkhausen effect with residual magnetization, the method of measuring the coercive force of ferromagnets with the aid of the Barkhausen effect, the connection of the Barkhausen effect with elements of the hysteresis loops of ferroelectric and ferroelastomer materials. The article voices the assumption that the very existence of hysteresis phenomena in nonlinear crystals would be impossible without discontinuous processes of change-over, i.e., without the Barkhausen effect.
