摘要
This paper describes the numerical techniques that are available for process modelling for casting and forming procedures. It assesses the time integration schemes that are available and also the accuracy required in the physical data. The requirements for metallurgical structural modelling are described particularly with regard to the detailed coupling between variables that must be achieved. Some suggestions for future work are made.
