During June, The Naval Architect visited the Paris headquarters of Dassault Systemes to learn about the newest advances and future plans of this leading CAD/CAM developer and IBM, which markets and supports its software worldwide. A strong new marketing campaign is soon to begin, aimed at leading European and Far East shipyards; it will promote the roll-out of a new generation of shipbuilding software, which claims to provide not only full design capability and virtual reality but also fully integrated solutions for the new century.
