An Analytical Model for IEEE 802.15.4 Wireless Networks with Periodic Traffic under Interference

摘要
IEEE 802.15.4 standard is designed to meet the requirement of low-rate, low-power and low-cost applications. However, because the working bands arc unauthorized, the performance of IEEE 802.15.4 networks is interfered by other devices working in the same hands. To analyze this problem, we propose a new model for IEEE 802.15.4 networks with slotted periodic traffic under interference, where the interference is modeled as an on-off process. Numerical simulations demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed model.
