摘要
The present paper summarizes newer data on epidemiology and immunology of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo) infection in swine. The implementation of vaccination for prophylaxis of M. hyo infection in swine herds and as a component of herd health programs is described. Newer results pertaining to the effects of time of infection and maternal antibodies regarding the timing of vaccination according to literature are presented. From an immunological point of view, the 3rd to 4th week of life is ideal for vaccinating piglets against M. hyo.
