摘要：
This paper is based on theoretical constructs of Activity Theory in order to identify (or try to get close to) the object of activity of a group of students while developing a mathematical modelling project. We discussed the concepts of object and motive in this theory and, using a qualitative methodological approach, came to the conclusion that the object of the group's activity is represented as questions in a collectively shared problem space.
