摘要
Possibilities of ''tailoring'' polymer molecules on request, based on previous calculations of their properties, i.e. designing of their properties and in that way also the properties of materials, are considered. Extension of Flory's formula for calculation of averaged geometrical and electro-optical properties of a chain to incorporate properties caused by side group configuration is presented. It is illustrated experimental data obtained for some especially designed series of molecules. The significance of the method of modeling polymer chain by pseudo reactions and application of Flory theorem about theta condition of chain are discussed.
